Medics were stunned when an OAP went into hospital with a 15cm-long nail in his skull.
Shocking scans show how the sharp piece of metal had entered the side of his head.
It had gone through both eye sockets and poked out through the 78-year-old’s other temple.

Reports say he sustained the horror injury when he “fell awkwardly” at home.
The man was in critical condition when he arrived at A&E in Nizhny Tagil, Russia.
He was taken in for emergency surgery, as reported on Need To Know.
The operation was complicated because his dura mater was damaged and his eyeballs were compressed.
The dura mater is the outermost and toughest of the three membranes covering the brain and spinal cord.
The neurosurgical team successfully removed the nail in the delicate op.
They managed to preserve the local man’s vision and keep his skull bones intact.
After the op, he was given another CT scan and moved to the recovery ward.
The authorities in Sverdlovsk Oblast said yesterday (30 Jul) that he was making a speedy recovery.
They added: “He is undergoing antibiotic therapy and preparing for discharge.”
