Italian rescue teams are intensifying their search for six missing passengers after a luxury yacht sank off the coast of Sicily.
The Bayesian, a 56-meter superyacht, went down in the early hours of Monday, leaving six people unaccounted for, including British tech tycoon Mike Lynch and his 18-year-old daughter, Hannah Lynch.
Among the missing are Jonathan Bloomer, chairman of Morgan Stanley International, his wife Judy, along with prominent lawyer Chris Morvillo and his wife Neda.
The search operation, now in its third day, has been hampered by the wreckage lying 50 meters below the surface, tilted on the seabed with debris obstructing access to the cabins.

Specialist divers, assisted by remote-controlled vehicles, are attempting to enter the sleeping quarters where some of the missing passengers are believed to have been resting when the yacht capsized during a severe storm.
The Bayesian’s mast reportedly broke in half during the storm, causing the vessel to lose balance and sink.
The 15 survivors, who were rescued on Monday, have described a harrowing experience of darkness and chaos as the yacht was engulfed by the sea. Among them was a baby, whose condition was closely monitored upon rescue.
The body of the onboard chef, Recaldo Thomas, has been recovered, while hopes diminish for finding the remaining six alive.
British and Italian authorities are collaborating on the investigation, seeking to determine if any safety measures could have prevented the tragedy.
The Bayesian, built by Perini Navi in 2008, was designed for luxury sailing, with six bedroom suites and an aluminum mast that once stood 72 meters tall.
As rescue teams continue their painstaking efforts, the families of the missing are left anxiously awaiting news, clinging to the hope of a miracle in the deep waters off Sicily.
