A police officer has been arrested on suspicion of murder after he allegedly killed a 19-year-old who dreamed of becoming a cop.
Teen Herbert Kayke was reportedly shot in the head by Alex Gonçalves de Queiroz during a conversation with the officer and a third man in a bar.
According to the witness, who has not been identified by name, Kayke told Queiroz that he admired the detective.

The teen also reportedly said that he wanted to join the force in the future.
It is claimed that Queiroz, agitated by Kayke’s comments, then pulled out his gun.
The witness told the police: “At that moment, without any reason, Alex said that Kayke ‘wouldn’t understand anything about police work’.
“He pulled out his gun, and shot him in the head.”
Authorities were called to the scene in São Paulo, Brazil, on Saturday night (24 August).
Two officers arrived and found Queiroz, who is aged 47, unarmed at the bar entrance.
When questioned at the scene, the suspect claimed that Kayke had tried to grab his gun and that “a shot went off”.
Officers found the victim lying on the floor with blood pouring from his head.
Beside his body was a Glock pistol, which was seized.
Queiroz has been arrested on suspicion of homicide aggravated by the trivial nature of the motive.
He remains in custody as the investigation continues.
The suspect had been working for the Civil Police – Brazil’s investigative force – for 25 year, as reported by Need To Know.
Kayke was originally from Manaíra and worked as an “assistant”, according to local media.
He was laid to rest in his hometown on Tuesday (27 Aug).
