A tragic incident has occurred in Nottingham, where an eight-year-old boy has sadly passed away after falling from a window.
Authorities were alerted by the East Midlands Ambulance Service at approximately 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday evening, according to Nottinghamshire Police.
The incident took place on Costock Avenue in the Sherwood area. The boy was immediately rushed to Queen’s Medical Centre for treatment, but despite efforts, medical staff were unable to save him.

Police remain at the scene as investigations into the circumstances of the fall continue. Chief Inspector Jon Scurr expressed deep sorrow over the situation, describing the boy’s death as a “heartbreaking and devastating loss of life.”
He extended his condolences to the boy’s family and friends, stating, “Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this difficult time.”
Scurr also thanked members of the public who have come forward with information and encouraged anyone who may still have details regarding the incident to get in touch with the police.
He noted the significant impact such events can have on the wider community, recognizing that this tragedy is deeply distressing for everyone involved.
In his statement, Chief Inspector Scurr urged those who may need emotional support, or know someone who does, to seek assistance through the NHS or by contacting 111.
