A plane has been caught almost bouncing off a runway with 179 passengers onboard during a nightmare landing.

Footage captured of the incident shows the aircraft coming in to land at a major international airport.

As the plane touches down, a large plume of smoke billows into the air.

The aircraft then bounces off the tarmac and nearly overturns.

The Flybondi pilot manages to bring the plane under control as the video comes to an end.

Flybondi is an ultra low-cost airline based in Argentina.

The terrifying landing took place at Jorge Newbery International Airport in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 1 November.

The incident went viral when Pablo Ceriani, former president of Aerolíneas Argentinas, claimed the plane was “never taken out of service or inspected”.

He said the same aircraft continued on to the city of Mendoza after the dangerous landing with 179 passengers onboard, as reported by Need To Know.

Ceriani, who is now the General Manager of Buenos Aires Highways, stated that the “Transportation Safety Board never intervened”.

He slammed the airline’s actions to continue operations as “completely irresponsible”.

In response, a Flybondi spokesperson said Ceriani’s allegations “lacked truth”.

In a statement on 3 November, the airline said: “The landing corresponds to flight FO5019 on Friday 1 November from the city of Córdoba, and did not constitute a risk for passengers or crew.”

“Although it was an unconventional landing due to the weather conditions, it did not constitute a safety event of any kind.

“So much so that the aircraft continued with its normal service once the corresponding controls were carried out in the maintenance area.

“The airline’s maintenance team complies with industry standards in accordance with current aeronautical regulations.

“These teams are highly trained and comply with all corresponding processes, in this case to ensure that the aircraft was in condition to continue service.”

It added: “To claim without any basis or proof that these actions are omitted constitutes a clear lack of truth.”
