Christmas is so close you can almost taste it… and it has a popcorn flavour this year.
With plenty of advent calendars on offer, it can be tricky to know which one will deliver the most festive joy.
What if, come December, you open those little doors and all you get is daily disappointment?

Not to worry, we’ve got you covered.
Need To Know tried the Popcorn Shed advent calendars and we are happy to report that for Christmas 2024, chocolate is out and popcorn is in.

The brand has two jolly alternatives to choose from: Signature or Festive.
Each one has 24 doors with a small bag – a large mouthful, really – of popcorn inside.
There’s also a little joke for the kids scrawled on the back of the door.

The Signature is so popular that it’s currently out of stock but don’t cry into your mulled wine just yet, because you can still join the waiting list.

It contains classics like Salted Caramel, Cookies & Cream and our personal favourite, Pecan Pie.
The Festive advent calendar – which is vegan – is currently available, with flavours such as Gingerbread, Christmas Pudding and Choc ‘N’ Roll.

Don’t let the vegan label fool you.
Having tried both, we can tell you that either calendar will put a smile on your face.
The only danger is that you might open every door before Christmas actually arrives, so perhaps best to get two.
