A brazen shoplifter stole a whole box full of toothpaste from Poundland as customers watched on in shock.
The man, wearing camouflage trousers and a black jacket, tipped the haul of £2 Colgate into an M&S bag.
One shopper confronted him and said: “Excuse me.”

But her effort to stop him was futile and he marched straight out of the budget shop.
It happened as the store was packed full of pre-Christmas shoppers.
Locals reacted with shock, while others made light of his unlikely loot.
It happened in trendy Portobello Road, Notting Hill, north London, yesterday (Nov 18).

One said: “Absolute tramp b*stard.”
Graham Norris claimed: “Straight into Wetherspoons to sell it.”

Matt Tyler joked: “He probably escaped on the tube.”
Nate Rochester quipped: “Made a clean getaway.”
Irfan Ali said: “Detain him under the dental health act.”
Terry Knight said: “Can’t see him in those trousers.”

It follows a spate of shoplifting amid the cost-of-living crisis.
Last Monday, a crook stole nine drinks from Greggs in Norwood Junction, south London, as reported on Need To Know.
Poundland and the Met Police have been approached for comment.
