The influencer was on a night out with her husband when 55mm of rain fell in just 30 minutes.
Trapped on a flooded street, the couple used their car to shelter.
But when their car was struck by another vehicle, the couple got out.
Jeniffer was swept away.
Footage shows the couple standing in waist-high water after the vehicle knocked into their car.
In another clip, a local is seen extending a ladder to the couple as they cling to the outside of their car in the floodwater.
The shocking scenes were filmed in Soares’ home city of Uberlândia, south of Brasilia, in Brazil in the early hours of yesterday (Nov 24).
Hard rain started to fall and the couple was stranded by around 1am.
After Soares was swept away, her husband Wallion Lima found her unconscious and tried to resuscitate her with the help of firefighters on the scene.
She was reportedly dragged along the flooded street for around 985 feet (300 metres).
Her body was located at around 1.25am.
The influencer died from drowning and multiple trauma.
She was the first victim of the storm in the area.
On social media, Soares posted content about fashion, lifestyle and makeup, as reported by Need To Know.
Her funeral took place at Bom Pastor Cemetery in Uberlândia at 5pm yesterday (24 November).
One relative said: “She was much more than an influencer, she was a ray of light, and great fun at family and social gatherings.
“Her emotion, joy and camaraderie were able to turn any moment into something special.”
City mayor Odelmo Leão said: “Today, I stand in solidarity with the family and friends of young Jhei Soares, who unfortunately lost her life early this Sunday due to the effects of heavy rains on Avenida Rondón Pacheco.”
