GK Barry might have lost the crown but she is still a winner, according to one branding expert.
Ben Nicholls says the “breakout” star – whose real name is Grace Eleanor Keeling – can expect to “triple” her income following her unexpected stint on the show.
The former picture editor, who was once a paparazzi in Los Angeles, now runs Jam Prime, a PR firm that specialises in working with high-profile social media content creators.
Nicholls predicts that the TikToker will land “six-figure” deals with “I’m A Celeb doing for GK Barry what Love Island did for Molly-Mae”.
The 39-year-old also believes that having Grace on the show is a sign of a new trend in British TV – as we can “expect to see more TikTok and Instagram stars on popular UK shows”.
“She may not have won ‘I Am A Celeb’ but GK Barry is about to take her career to the next level,” the branding expert says in a video.
“Being chosen for the show was a turning point, not just for Grace, but for the industry as a whole.
“While some people are asking – ‘Who the hell is GK Barry?’ – her fans knew exactly why she belonged on that show.
“She’s part of a new wave of social influencers taking over mainstream media: TikTokers on TV.
“Think about what that Love Island did for Molly-Mae [Hague].
“This is exactly the opportunity on the cards for Grace.
“I think she’s set to triple her income.
“She’ll be landing six-figure brand deals and she’ll be cementing herself as a household name.
“It really goes to show how powerful growing an audience on social media is, especially TikTok.
“It’s the go-to platform for younger generations who are more likely to be watching Netflix or YouTube than tuning into traditional TV.
“Bringing stars like Grace into primetime TV is a smart way to grab their attention.
“GK Barry was the breakout star of ‘I’m A Celeb’ – not only did she win over the audience, but her platform is now bigger than ever.
“With this kind of momentum, she’s about to dominate both social and traditional media.”
GK Barry, who reportedly plans to get a tattoo on her bum to commemorate her time in the jungle, currently has five million followers online.
The show’s ‘underdog’ has gathered new fans with her hilarious antics and authenticity – including that memorable mascara-streaked moment.
Sadly, she lost out on the crown to McFly singer, Danny Jones, who became I’m A Celebrity’s King of the Jungle 2024.
Nicholls adds: “Love her or not, one thing is for sure; TikTok is no longer just for viral trends.
“It’s launching the next era of celebrities.
“And GK Barry is leading the way.”
