A feminist artist has installed a sculpture of ‘lady parts’ on a city square dominated by a 39ft phallus.
The enormous willy sparked outrage when it was unveiled on Piazza Municipio in Naples, Italy, on 10 October.
The imposing structure, which is 39ft (12m) tall, is called ‘Tu Si ‘Na Cosa Grande’ – which translates as ‘You Are a Big Thing’.

The phallic monument will remain in the square until 19 December.
The piece was created by local artist Gaetano Pesce, who died earlier this year aged 83.
It is a rude interpretation of the Pulcinella character who originated in the commedia dell’arte in the 17th century.
Pulcinella, also used in puppet shows, has become a symbol of Neapolitan tradition.
However, Italian artist Cristina Donati Meyer, 39, has sculpted a vagina in response to the large willy.
She wanted to shine a light on the “monument to phallocentrism” with her piece titled ‘The Great Beauty’.
The artist explained: “Artivism on the street.
“Feminist and artistic provocation vs Male provocation-phallocentric misogyny that’s vulgar and unpleasant.
“Ever since Gaetano Pesce’s piece was installed, feminists have objected.
“The phallic adulation of the patriarchal subculture undermines this supposed tribute to Pulcinella.
“At a time when gender equality is being fought and the patriarchy is being questioned, this work seems out of place and anachronistic.
“It’s time to leave behind outdated symbols of toxic masculinity and embrace art that mirrors the aspirations of an evolved and just society.
“The Grand Beauty is an invitation for reflection and dialogue.”
She added: “Naples deserves better, we deserve better.”
Cristina erected her feminine sculpture on a sign in front of Pesce’s piece, as reported by Need To Know.
However, the authorities later removed it from the city square as it did not have council approval.
