A gunman had a change of heart while robbing a shop and decided to buy some sweets instead.
Bizarre CCTV footage shows how he marched into the store and pulled a pistol from his waistband.
He racked the slide and said to the cashier behind the till: “Hand over the money.”

As he pointed the gun at her, the startled woman replied: “What money do you want?”
After an awkward silence, the young man let out a nervous laugh.
He put his gun back in his waistband, pulled a coin from his pocket, and said: “All right, give me 100 pesos’ worth of sweets.”
He then mumbled sheepishly: “All right, sorry, love, sorry, love.”
As the cashier handed him 8p worth of sweets, she said sternly: “You don’t mess around with things like that.”
After making his purchase, the young man walked towards the exit.
Suddenly, he had a second change of heart and swiped a bag of crisps from a stand before bolting out of the shop.
He legged it down the road, turning back momentarily after his pistol flew out of his boxer shorts a whisker from a couple of stopped pedestrians.
The baffling scenes unfolded in Valdivia, south of Santiago, Chile.
He was later arrested.
Locals were bemused, as reported by Need To Know.
