Colombian president Gustavo Petro has come under fire after an OnlyFans star was given a government role “in return for her online activism.”
Laura Julieth Martínez Morales was hired to work at the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (UNGRD), documents show.
The 12-month government contract secured by the adult content creator is said to earn her 8.45m COP (£1,634) a month.

In comparison, the monthly minimum wage in Colombia is just 1.4235m COP (£275).
Martínez frequently expresses support for President Petro and his left-wing government on social media.

And many Colombians suspect this is how she landed the contract.
Politics expert Jairo Ladino claimed: “How did you get chosen, listing only a high school diploma on your CV, over other qualified professionals who are already graduates?

“What a privilege to leave school and go straight into the top five percent of Colombia’s wealthiest.
“A privilege only insiders can afford.”
Martínez – who calls herself La Julieta – said: “Congratulations, great job, you discovered that those of us who support this government work for this government.

“Seriously, what a brilliant investigation. And yes, I work for the entity led by one of the president’s best officials.
“Working is not a crime. Aaahhh and I also have OnlyFans and a child with autism.
“And no, having a contract doesn’t take away my right to say that the right wing is disgusting and that they’re a bunch of fascist motherf*ckers.”
The contract between Martínez and the UNGRD was signed on 20 September last year, as reported by Need To Know.

But it was only published by Colombia’s Electronic Public Procurement System on 21 January, leading to corruption accusations.
A UNGRD spokesperson has since told local media: “Martínez Morales has been an active part of our political project.
“She was hired in full compliance with legal requirements and has the experience needed for the role she was hired for.

“It’s not true that she only has a high school diploma. She holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the San José Foundation of Higher Education.
“As for the other matter, we can only say that it’s a personal issue.”
