An influencer mum has opened up about the dark side to fame and beauty – saying other mums stare, whisper behind her back and blank her at their children’s events.
Rosana Ferreira first rose to fame after winning the very first edition of the annual Miss BumBum beauty pageant, where women are judged on their perky derrières.
In the years since, the 38-year-old has amassed 153,000 followers and now works as a model, content creator and nightclub performer.
But her professional success has come at a personal cost.
Rosana – who is a single mum – has spent years getting “judgemental looks” from other mums at the school run when picking up her son, 11-year-old Marcelo.

They also avoid her or will make “malicious” comments.
“Until my son turned eight, I avoided picking him up from school or attending activities with other moms as much as possible,” Rosana told Need To Know.
“Whenever I showed up, I noticed judgmental looks, whispers and even hostile situations,
“I dealt with malicious comments about my appearance on multiple occasions.

“Some moms make a point of ignoring me, as if my presence bothers them.”
Recalling one such incident, the Brazilian native describes how she was treated while attending a child’s birthday party with her son.
She said: “I remember one party where I went with my son and as soon as I arrived, I could feel some moms were uncomfortable.

“Some looked me up and down and whispered to each other.
“It was so awkward that I decided to leave early.”
Rosana says she and her son, Marcelo, have a great relationship and he knows what she does for a living.
As he grows older, he has a “better understanding” of her career and the public exposure that comes with it.

She said: “I’ve always been very transparent with him about my career and never hid who I am.
“Our relationship is based on respect and trust.”
In the past, Rosana has talked about how being a single mum has also caused odd dating experiences.

She claims one man dumped her after finding out she’s a parent, while someone else was appalled by her bringing along prepped meals on outings.
At the moment, she is taking a break from romantic relationships to focus on herself and her son.
She added: “My therapist suggested I needed some time for myself, away from any male influence.
“I thought it was a good idea because it’s been hard to find someone who doesn’t complicate my life.”
