A 46-year-old woman died after getting a “dream” tummy tuck and boob job.
Cristina Rocha da Silva died less than two days after the op.
After returning home from the hospital, she began experiencing severe abdominal pain and shortness of breath.

Cristina had the abdominoplasty and breast augmentation surgery last Saturday (22 Mar).
She was discharged the next day (23 Mar) and died in the early hours of Monday (24 Mar).

The emergency services were called and instructed her husband Diogo Domingos to give her first aid as she lay in her bed.
However, when the paramedics arrived at the home in Goiânia, southwest of Brasilia, Brazil, she was dead, as reported by Need To Know.

Diogo told local media: “It was heartbreaking to see my wife in that condition.
“The doctor told me to do chest compressions until the ambulance arrived.
“We tried, and when the ambulance got there, they tried too. There was nothing more that could be done.”
Cristina leaves behind two children and a daughter-in-law, who were present at the time of the tragedy.

The autopsy report is still pending, but it is believed she died from a cardiac arrest.
The police will now investigate whether or not her death was related to the surgery.
The regional medical council describes her surgeon’s status as “regular.”
Detectives have requested pre-operative documentation from the hospital.
Police chief Anderson Pimentel told local media: “We believe they must have done pre-operative tests and assessed her overall physical condition to make sure she was fit for such a major procedure.”

Diogo said a friend of his wife had recommended the hospital to her.
He told local media: “She said she had looked at the doctor’s entire history, but I don’t think she actually did.
“She just went because it was her dream and because of her friend’s recommendation.
“It was her dream to have the procedure. She spent years saving up, making contributions, working, and putting money aside.”
