The 70-year-old underwent surgery on her stomach, which led to doctors discovering that she had stage 4 cancer.
As well as cancer, doctors also found that she had a perforated stomach.

Her daughters, Jessica and Erika Galván, issued a statement to Silvia’s 129,000 followers at the time.
“She had an emergency that required delicate surgery, which led to the discovery of cancer,” Jessica and Erika said.
“She is currently recovering.
“These have been the worst days of our lives, as she is the person we love most.
“These events are slow-moving; we ask for your patience and understanding until we can provide more information.”
Dr César Adrián Sepúlveda Benavides was in charge of the surgery and explained to Silvia that her treatment options were limited.
He also predicted that she could have anywhere from six to 12 months to live, as reported by Need To Know.

Unfortunately, Silvia died on Wednesday (16 April).
It has not been established what form of cancer the professional stylist had.
Jessica and Erika announced the passing of their mother in a statement.
