A YouTuber from the US has been locked up after bringing an “illegal” can of diet coke to a secluded tribe.

Polyakov entered the North Sentinel Island, which has strict laws to prohibit visitors from the outside world, as reported by Need To Know.

The outsider carried out meticulous research to access the island, studying tides and water conditions.
Once he arrived the 24-year-old blew a whistle for an hour whilst standing on the beach, he received no response from the tribe.
Local fishermen spotted the man returning from his trip and promptly alerted the authorities.

The Scottsdale, Arizona, resident put himself in grave danger with the last American to land on the island losing their life.
In 2018, a missionary was shot with arrows by the tribe, who buried his body on the beach after he illegally landed on their island.
Polyakov visited the island last month, (29 Mar) and was apprehended by cops two days later.
Entering the island and leaving those items have been deemed by police to have been a breach of Indian Law.

The 24-year-old is set to appear before a local court this month (29 Apr), in Port Blair, the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The YouTuber could now face a huge fine and a whopping five years behind bars.
Following the incident, police have emphasised the potential threat outsiders present to the Sentinelese.

The tribe have lived in isolation for thousands of years and have been known to be extremely hostile to outsiders.
As well as the American missionary, two fishermen also lost their lives when they accidentally landed on the island in 2006.
