A 17-year-old boy tragically died after being bitten by a venomous cobra as he slept in a guesthouse.
CCTV footage shows how the long reptile slithered across the quilt as the teen dozed in his bed.
All of a sudden, he could be seen jolting awake and looking around to see what had just hurt him.

He jumped off the bed as soon as he spotted the snake.
He looked groggy and appeared to stumble before heading out the door in his boxers.
Local media say the victim – identified only as Manoj – was bitten twice by the cobra as he slept.
He worked in the kitchen at the guesthouse in Lumb village, north of New Delhi, India.
He often spent the night there after his shift, as reported by Need To Know.
Local media say he woke up after being bitten on the hand but fell asleep again after failing to see anything suspicious.
But moments later, he was bitten on the stomach.
After leaving the room, Manoj alerted the guesthouse owner, who rushed him to a doctor in nearby Kirthal village.
Despite receiving help, his condition worsened, and he tragically passed away after the attack last Friday (16 May).
Manoj leaves behind an older brother.
It is not the first tragedy that has befallen the family.
The siblings’ father died 15 years ago, when Manoj was just a toddler.
His devastated loved ones have asked for financial assistance from the authorities.
Local media have not named the cobra species that bit Manoj, but it is likely to have been an Indian cobra.
It is one of the “big four” venomous snakes responsible for most snakebite cases in the country.
The Indian cobra’s venom can paralyse muscles. Severe bites can cause respiratory failure or cardiac arrest.
