Trixie the tabby left her owner heartbroken when she disappeared.

Incredibly, the missing moggy turned up earlier this year in rural Oceana County, Michigan – nearly 4,000 miles from where she went missing in Montague, Germany.
Animal rescuers took her in and scanned her microchip, expecting a local address.
The discovery sparked a cross-continental search for her original owner, who was stunned to hear that her long-lost pet was not only alive, but living on another continent.
“Five years ago, sweet Trixie went missing in Montague,” said Oceana County Animal Friends.

“Her family never gave up hope – but they couldn’t have imagined this ending.
“Against all odds, Trixie was found… and thanks to her microchip, we were able to trace her back to her original owner – who now lives all the way in Germany.”
The feline’s story has captured hearts in both countries, with animal lovers praising the power of microchipping and sheer luck.
And Trixie’s reunion with her owner is now just days away.
The German national is set to fly to the US on 21 July to finally bring her home.
The pair will fly back to Europe together on 22 July, as reported by Need To Know.
The international journey is being fully funded by the head of the Michigan-based charity that rescued her, which is determined to see the cat home after years of uncertainty.
In the meantime, Trixie has been living in a quiet foster home, where carers say she’s recovering well and enjoying all the comforts she’s missed.
How the cat ended up in the United States remains a complete mystery, with there being no record of her being transported, adopted or taken across the Atlantic.
One possible explanation is that she may have accidentally travelled in a shipping container – but there is no way to confirm it.
