A doctor has revealed the very raunchy thing we can all do to look more youthful – and it has nothing to do with skincare.
Dr Neena Chandrasekaran specialises in pulmonary and critical care medicine, and shares her expertise on TikTok with her 150,000 followers.
In a recent clip, which garnered 29,000 views, the 34-year-old medic revealed that being active between the sheets can actually lead to looking younger.

“Having sex regularly – daily or four to five times a week – can make you look young,” Dr Chandrasekaran, who is based in Florida, US, said in a clip shared with Need To Know.

“Research now shows that sexual intercourse can release human growth hormone, which enhances skin elasticity and reduces wrinkles.”
As well as those reported benefits, Dr Chandrasekaran also said regular sexual intercourse can help improve sleep quality, reduce stress, and boost immune function – all of which can contribute to healthier skin.
She added: “Emotional intimacy and physical touch also relieve oxytocin, the love hormone, which has been linked to decrease amounts of cortisol or stress hormone – which is responsible for accelerated ageing.”
However, the doctor warned that sex alone is not “responsible for helping you look young”, but combined with a healthy lifestyle and other factors, it can help.
One viewer commented: “Damn I’m going to be young forever because my man won’t leave me alone.”

“This is why I look old for my age,” another user joked.
Someone else wrote: “Damn I need to get on it!”

“Nah I don’t believe it. Women in long term relationships look older than child free single women,” claimed another user.
“I don’t believe this cause woman in relationship with men don’t look young, respectfully,” another critic wrote.
Dr Chandrasekaran previously shared a clip warning against letting young children drink slushy drinks during the summer months, due to them containing glycerol – which can cause glycerol intoxication syndrome.
She said: ““A study conducted in the UK by researchers evaluated 21 two-year-olds who had slushies and needed emergency treatment in the ER right after they had been drinking slushies.
“These slushies can appear as brain freeze within a child, however, they can cause dizziness, coma, and feeling out of sorts.
“This can lead to glycerol intoxication and, within this population that was studied, one had a seizure and four of them needed brain scans – CT scans – to evaluate their symptoms.”
