Shocking footage has emerged of a shopper apparently brawling with Tesco supermarket staff.
The black-clad woman was filmed swinging a white bag at a worker in a blue top during the violent altercation at the Bromley Road branch last Tuesday (26 August).
The male staff member wrestled her towards the exit as a female colleague rushed over to help, as reported by Need To Know.
He then unlocked the store’s front doors to force the woman outside, where three people were waiting.
The woman appeared to lash out again before finally leaving with two others.
It is not clear what sparked the row.
The Bromley Road Tesco has previously hit headlines for trouble – including when a brazen shoplifter was filmed casually cycling away from the store with a basket full of unpaid goods.
One local said such incidents were “common” at the branch.
A Tesco spokesperson said: “The safety of customers and colleagues is an absolute priority.
“We work closely with partners such as the Metropolitan Police to share information and invest in new ways to keep stores safe places to work and shop.”
Shoplifting has rocketed across London, with offences up 54 per cent in the year to April 2025 – far higher than the national average.
Experts blame the soaring cost of living and the sheer number of shops in the capital.
The Metropolitan Police has been approached for comment.
