Four crooks have been jailed for over 21 years for a string of raids worth £2m before stashing the stolen goods in a graveyard.

The crime gang – made up of Lewis Northover, Scott Logan, Sean Bennett and Sachon Morgan – carried out their raids at high speed after meticulous planning.

They used high-powered stolen vehicles – a 155mph Audi RS6 and a 150mph VW T-Roc – to carry out the crimes.

They are thought to have carried out more than 100 crimes across the capital.

But cops fear the true number could be far higher.

They used an angle grinder to smash their way into a Sainsbury’s, as shocking CCTV revealed.

They then swiped cigarettes and vapes from behind the counter.

The crooks stole so much that they had to drag the huge bag of loot out of the store.

Over nine months, Logan and Morgan targeted more than 35 convenience stores, electronics shops and a department store.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “They stored the stolen goods in isolated locations, including a churchyard.”

They also stole silver from a venue, as reported on Need To Know.

Their crimes took place across north London and Hertfordshire.

They were arrested after hundreds of hours of CCTV footage were reviewed by the force’s Flying Squad.

Northover, Logan and Morgan entered guilty pleas before the trial.

Bennett entered a guilty plea on the first day at Kingston Crown Court on Wednesday, 23 June.

Northover, 31 of Fry Road, Brent, was jailed for six years and nine months for conspiracy to commit burglary and handling stolen goods between January 2020 and September 2022 and conspiracy to commit burglary and handling stolen goods between April 2024 and January 2025.

Logan, 36, of Hazellville Road, Islington, got the same sentence.

Bennett, 38, of Marshmoor Lane, Hatfield, was sentenced to four years and ten months for conspiracy to commit burglary and handling stolen goods between January 2020 and September 2022 and a separate count of handling stolen goods.

Morgan, 33 of Cricklewood Lane, Cricklewood, was sentenced to two years and seven months for conspiracy to commit burglary and handling stolen goods between April 2024 and January 2025.

Let Ch Insp Scott Mather, of the Met’s Flying Squad, who led the investigation, said: “Northover, Logan, Bennett and Morgan were part of an organised criminal network who horrified shopkeepers and communities with a series of raids.

“They thought that acting quickly and escaping in high-powered vehicles meant that they were above the law. They were wrong.

Officers tracked them down through diligent forensic work, digging through CCTV and carrying out surveillance.

“Their hard work shows how the force is taking the fight to criminal gangs and is committed to supporting the local communities they intimidate and threaten.”
