An electric car went up in flames after smashing into a pylon – leaving dozens of homes without power.
The EV vehicle flew off the road.
The motor slammed into an electricity pole, sparking a huge fire that engulfed the entire motor.

Miraculously, the driver escaped with only “slight” injuries.
Around 35 properties in the area were left powerless as emergency crews rushed to the scene.
The horror crash happened on Ramsey Road, Whittlesey, near Peterborough, on Saturday (13 Sept), as reported by Need To Know.

Cambridgeshire Police were joined by Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service and UK Power Networks to tackle the blaze.
The fire burned past sunset before finally being put out later that night.
Power was restored to the homes in the early hours of Sunday (14 Sep), according to the Peterborough Telegraph.
A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said: “An electric vehicle has left the road and crashed into an electricity pole, which has caused a fire at the location.

“The driver of the vehicle has slight injuries.
“They are aware there are about 35 properties that are without power at this time.
“Recovery work is underway at the scene so UK Power Networks can start on engineering works to get the power supply restored.”
