A 14-year-old girl has died after allegedly undergoing an unauthorised breast enlargement operation.
Paloma Nicole Arellano Escobedo passed away in the hospital a week after the surgery.
Her cause of death was reportedly marked as complications due to a respiratory illness.
But her father, Carlos Arellano, claims a boob job was to blame and is demanding an investigation.
He alleges an operation was carried out without his knowledge.
Carlos claims he only found out at her funeral after allegedly discovering she had breast implants and scars, as reported by Need To Know.
He said: “Her death certificate falsely stated ‘illness’ as the cause of death in an attempt to cover up the truth.”
Paloma passed away in a hospital in the city of Durango, Mexico, on Saturday (20 Sept).
Carlos said he is suspicious of how quickly his daughter’s death certificate was prepared.
He stated: “They gave it to us right away. I don’t know how they did it so quickly.”
The certificate showed the cause of death as cerebral oedema due to a respiratory illness.
After the funeral the following day, Carlos filed the complaint when he realised there was more behind his daughter’s “suffering” and death.
He claimed there was a “cover-up.”
Carlos said: “I demand that all those responsible be investigated.”
The Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that they are investigating.
