Mayonnaise costing just £3.60 is now security tagged at a branch of Tesco, which left a shopper stunned.
The Heinz Mayo Seriously Good Light in a 540g bottle now has netting around it.
They also have security tags on them that have to be removed at the tills.

They were also put on the 775g of Heinz Mayonnaise Seriously Good, which cost fractionally more at £4.40.
The anti-shoplifting measures were also put on a 500ml bottle of Napolina Extra Virgin Olive Oil, costing just £5.50
They were slapped on the same brand 1L Olio Da Cucina for £5.70, and the 500ml Light and Mild Olive Oil was priced at £8.95
They were spotted on the shelves of Tesco Express, in Central Square, Wembley, yesterday (25 Sept).
It is just a stone’s throw from the national football stadium, as reported on Need To Know.
The shocked customer, rising inflation is now making historically low-cost items at risk of being stolen from supermarkets.

He said: “With inflation driving up the price of everyday goods, supermarkets are increasingly treating condiments and pantry staples like luxury items.
“A bottle of mayonnaise, once an unassuming sandwich companion, is now considered a ‘high-risk’ product.
“Locked down against would-be condiment bandits.
In June, Tesco was mocked for putting security tags on packets of ham costing as little as £2 to thwart shoplifters.

Chicken fillets priced at £2.75 and blocks of Cheddar cheese costing £3.35 were also available at the store in Blackpool.
Tesco has been approached for comment.
