A Twilight star has revealed how he realised that he didn’t want to be famous after watching co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kirsten Stewart deal with “all that bullsh*t”.
Justin Chon played Eric Yorkie in the beloved vampire film franchise.
The filmmaker has now lifted the lid on why his career took a different turn to that of his castmates.

The 44-year-old revealed that seeing what Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart had to deal following their rise to fame made him realise what he wanted in life.
Chon claimed that hardcore fans would “hide in trunks” of cars whilst the actors tried to go out for dinner during filming of the Twilight saga.
The five films created a huge fan following – earning over a whopping $3.3bn at the worldwide box office, as reported by Need To Know.
Being a side character in the series, the actor turned director and father-of-two was on the periphery of the “bullsh*t” that happened.
“You know what I took away from making those films, was what I actually wanted with my career and my life,” he said.
“Watching Robin (Pattinson) and Kristen (Stewart) deal with all that bullsh*t, you know all the extra stuff.
“I realised what I wanted in life was not to be famous – it was to make work that really mattered to me.
“You know seeing how crazy it got with all the you know helicopters on set and you’re trying to go out to dinner and people hiding in trunks.
“For me kind of being on the periphery of it all, I was just a side character.
“Man is this all there is?

“What it made me realise was the purpose and what I wanted to do with my art and the type of films I wanted to make.”
The star lifted the lid on turning his back on fame after his wife Sasha Egorova showed their children his work in Twilight on 11 Nov.
Unfortunately, his eldest daughter was left “unimpressed”.
Chon wrote, directed and starred in Blue Bayou, which was released in 2021.
He has also directed and produced Chief of War, starring Jason Momoa.
