A tough swan has miraculously survived after smashing into a power line and then being run over by a car.
Shocking CCTV showed the bird plummeting out of the sky and crash-landing onto a busy road.

The car bounced as its front-left wheel rolled over one of the swan’s wings before dragging the helpless bird for several yards, sending feathers exploding across the tarmac.
The swan eventually tumbled out from the back of the vehicle, bruised and dazed, and lay motionless on the road.
The clip, filmed on 29 October, was released by the Piotrków Forest District, south of Łódź, Poland, as reported by Need To Know.
The authority said yesterday (18 Nov): “A happy ending to this dangerous incident.
“The mute swan caught on a power line and fell onto a busy road.
“Injured, it was taken to the Piotrków Forest District’s Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre.
“Thankfully, it had not suffered any serious injuries.”
A photo shared later showed the bird looking bright and well after being released back into a pond.
Meanwhile, the Citroën driver faced heavy criticism online.
One person slammed him, writing: “Didn’t the driver feel something big go under the wheels? Instead of stopping, he just kept on driving.”

Another added: “Fantastic driver – didn’t even notice or bother to stop. What a mess.”
And one person said, “That driver should be hit with a hefty fine.”

Mute swans are powerful fliers commonly found on lakes, rivers and ponds across Europe, Asia and North America.
Despite the name, they can hiss and grunt, although they’re quieter than most other swans.
