The clifftop path and staircase where the tragedy occurred had been badly eroded by the elements, with no railings or barriers to prevent a fall.
The accident happened in the Barranca de los Lobos area, south of Mar del Plata, Argentina on Wednesday (26 Nov) evening.
Tragic Leticia was originally from Tres Arroyos.
After earning a degree in Journalism and Social Communication from the National University of La Plata, she worked at her local newspaper, La Voz del Pueblo, in 2020.

The cousin she was with at the time of the accident is the paper’s founder and CEO, as reported by Need To Know.
In a tribute, the newspaper described her as an “enthusiastic professional” who was “very willing and kind, eager to contribute and create content”.
More recently, Leticia had been working at an online marketing consultancy agency and had attended a summit hosted by her workplace just hours before the accident.
Authorities have launched an investigation, though prosecutors say all evidence points to an accident.
Leticia is survived by her parents and a brother.
