A young woman waiting in a motor at a Starbucks drive-through has been shot dead in a horror attack.

Police responded to the attack and found the critically injured victim, before launching a man hunt for a suspect wearing a construction vest, hard hat and holding what appeared to be a rifle.

The 28-year-old woman, identified by local media as Sam Linehan, 28, had a gunshot wound and was unresponsive inside the vehicle.

She later died after being taken to hospital.

It is not yet clear if Brown knew the victim or if there was any other interaction between them at the drive-through.

The violence erupted near Tower Grove Park in St Louis, Missouri, on Tuesday, (10 Feb) with Keith’s identity revealed in local media the following day.

Brown has been charged with first-degree murder, four counts of armed criminal action, three counts of first-degree robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm as a felon.

“Intelligence detectives have taken a 58-year-old man into custody in connection to the homicide,” said a spokesperson for St Louis Metropolitan Police Department yesterday (11 Feb).

“He was armed when he was arrested.

“Our SWAT team executed a search warrant at the suspect’s home.

According to court documents viewed by First 4 Alert, Brown reportedly pointed a gun at a woman in a Jack in the Box drive-thru on 6 Feb.

Two days later, Brown is believed to have entered and robbed a Dollar General store.
