A woman has been convicted of manslaughter after a Kim Kardashian-lookalike model died following an illegal cosmetic procedure.
Christina Ashten Gourkani, a 34-year-old OnlyFans model, had built a large following online for her resemblance to the reality TV star prior to her death.
She was given a silicone buttock injection in April 2023 at a hotel near the San Francisco Airport, rather than in a licensed medical facility.

Tragically, she suffered complications shortly afterwards and died of respiratory failure, according to reports.
San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe previously explained that she developed an infection that led to a pulmonary embolism, and prosecutors reported that silicone was found in her bloodstream.
Vivian Alexandra Gomez, 53, was found guilty this week of felony involuntary manslaughter and for practising medicine without a licence.
Gomez had been on bail with restrictions and was remanded to custody after her guilty verdict was read in court.
Gourkani’s family said she “will forever be our guardian angel” on a GoFundMe campaign following her death, which is no longer active.
Gomez is due to be sentenced on 5 May.
