IKEA is bringing a beloved Swedish tradition to the UK to shake up the midweek slump.
From today (15 Apr) to 24 June, IKEA Family members can enjoy 50% off all main meals every Wednesday, as IKEA introduces “Lillördag” (“Little Saturday”) to its UK stores.
A staple of Nordic culture, “Little Saturday” is all about celebrating the halfway point of the week – a chance to pause, reset and treat yourself to something small.

Whether it’s a comforting meal, catching up with friends or simply taking a moment to unwind, the tradition encourages people to embrace a little midweek joy.
The new offer makes it easier for shoppers to skip meal prep and lean into that “little treat” energy, with wallet-friendly dishes on the menu.
Options include IKEA’s iconic meatballs as well as plant-based favourites.

Some highlights at half price include pasta with tomato sauce (£1.45), mac and cheese (£2.25), sausage and mash (£2.45), eight plant balls and chips (£2.75), and eight meatballs and chips (£2.95).
Other deals include smoky aubergine and goat’s cheese tart (£3.25), fish and chips (£3.45), and chicken schnitzel with chips and peas (£3.45).
And it doesn’t stop at the restaurant.
Each Wednesday, IKEA will also drop exclusive £5 homeware deals in-store, with a rotating selection of products revealed monthly.
Shoppers can expect discounts on items ranging from cosy textiles to kitchen essentials, adding an extra element of surprise to their visit.
In May, this will expand to include 20% off selected products, including soft toys and glassware.

Selected stores will also host quiz nights and game nights every Wednesday, giving customers another reason to stay a little longer.
A board games trolley featuring both family-friendly and more competitive options will also be available.
Customers are encouraged to check their local store’s events page for details on what’s happening near them.
