A controversial livestreamer was arrested after allegedly refusing to pay a restaurant bill worth almost $400 (£272) following a dispute with staff.
Dalton Eatherly, who posts online under the name ChudtheBuilder, was taken into custody in Nashville, Tennessee, on May 9.
According to an arrest affidavit cited by WSMV, staff at the restaurant had asked Eatherly not to livestream or disrupt dining service while inside the venue.

Police allege the streamer ordered two entrees, drinks and appetisers totalling $371.55 before staff realised he had allegedly continued livestreaming.
The affidavit reportedly states Eatherly became disruptive, made racial remarks and started shouting after being confronted.
He was later charged with theft of services, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
According to Davidson County Sheriff’s Office records, Eatherly was booked into the Downtown Detention Center and given a combined bond of $5,000.

Following the incident, Eatherly posted a series of messages on X, formerly Twitter, giving his version of events.
In one post, he wrote: “Phones seized as ‘evidence of the crime’. No way of contacting anyone. Just got back to my Airbnb after 13 hours in custody for leaving a restaurant when I was asked to Bob’s ChopHouse.”

In another post, he claimed that “FBI” had interviewed him for about two hours and asked if he was “part of an organisation”.
Eatherly also alleged he had partially eaten some food before being asked to leave the restaurant.
He wrote: “I partially ate the two appetizers I ordered. Never got my meal, and couldn’t enjoy or finish the food I did get.”

The arrest comes just weeks after streaming platform Kick indefinitely banned Eatherly following backlash over clips showing him filming members of the public during livestreams.
According to reports published at the time, the platform initially suspended him for public harassment before escalating the punishment into a permanent ban.
