An award-winning actress who shot to fame in a remake of the hit drama series Euphoria has died suddenly at the age of 25.
Luna Jordan, who was recently cast to play photographer Astrid Kirchherr in the upcoming Beatles biographical series Hamburg Days, passed away last Wednesday (13 May).
The Berlin-based performer recently took part in the NDR documentary Child Actors – The Price of Success, which was broadcast just days before her death.

In the documentary, she spoke candidly about the extreme pressures faced by young performers in the modern television industry.
She said: “I sometimes lay crying on the floor for half an hour and didn’t know what was wrong with me.
“I can no longer destroy myself for such projects, otherwise I won’t be able to do this job at 25.”

Her agency, Players in Berlin, announced that Luna had died “suddenly and unexpectedly” in a statement yesterday (18 May).
The actress achieved critical acclaim early in her career, winning the prestigious Austrian Film Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2022 for her breakout role in the prison drama Fuchs im Bau (Fox in a Hole).
Jordan was also a highly respected activist within the film industry, using her 2022 acceptance speech to courageously demand systemic changes against sexualised abuse on sets.
In her acceptance speech, she said: “I am just 20 years old and I have already been a victim of sexual abuse on film sets and in theatres four times.
“That should not be normal, but it is.”
She played the character Sophia von Greve in the 2025 German remake of Euphoria.

Luna described the character as “cute but psycho” in an Instagram post from the Munich Film Festival premiere.
Beyond her breakthrough role in the RTL+ Euphoria adaptation, she was widely known to international audiences for her performance in the hit Netflix crime thriller series Schlafende Hunde (Sleeping Dog).
The multi-talented artist, who also wrote screenplays and played multiple instruments, had recently been cast as the iconic photographer Astrid Kirchherr in the upcoming Beatles biographical series Hamburg Days, as reported by Need To Know.
Broadcaster NDR, which collaborated closely with the actress, described Jordan as an exceptional talent who possessed a rare, dramatic depth.
Funeral arrangements and the private memorial service will remain strictly confidential, with her agency requesting absolute privacy for Jordan’s family during this devastating time.
