A billionaire CEO’s son allegedly caused a multi-vehicle crash after getting behind the wheel drunk.
Sergei Kornilov lost control of a Mercedes convertible and veered into the oncoming lane in broad daylight on Wednesday (20 May).
He hit a passing Kia, which was then shunted into a Nissan, before the 21-year-old collided with the kerb.

Fortunately, no one was injured, although all three vehicles were damaged in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia.
Kornilov is the son of a local billionaire businessman who led automotive firm Luidor before his death in 2024.
Just moments before the crash, he had posted footage of himself driving the yellow convertible while apparently intoxicated.
Even more brazenly, he was seen posing for a photo on the bonnet of the wrecked car immediately afterwards.
He later went on to a restaurant, where he continued drinking, live-streaming the night on social media and boasting: “Rich kids don’t die.”
He also hit back at critics, saying: “Poverty is just jealous.”
That same day, police drew up four administrative reports against him for refusing a breath test, traffic violations, lacking insurance, and damaging road infrastructure.
He has reportedly amassed 161 administrative offences since 2025, including dozens for failing to pay fines or comply with penalties.
A criminal investigation has now been opened, and the Mercedes has been seized as evidence.

According to local reports, he faces up to two years in prison if convicted of driving under the influence.
Following an online backlash, Kornilov later issued an apology, as reported by creatorzine.com.
He said: “Not long ago, I crashed while under the influence of alcohol, and afterwards I made some unflattering comments about it.
“I’m now in a rehab centre for alcohol addiction due to prolonged drinking.
“Everything I said about the crash wasn’t true and doesn’t reflect how I actually feel – it was all said under the influence of alcohol.
“I sincerely regret what I did and I apologise once again.”
Investigators are now reportedly seeking a court order to place him under house arrest.
