An e-scooter rider cheated death when a speeding train missed him by inches after he ignored lowered barriers at a level crossing.
Dramatic CCTV footage shows the person riding through the gap between the barriers in an apparent attempt to beat the train across the tracks.
At the last possible moment, he turned his head and spotted the train bearing down on him from the left.

He slammed on the brakes and leapt off his scooter onto the tarmac just a split second before the train thundered past.
After it had gone by, he nervously climbed back onto the scooter and rode away before the barriers were lifted.
The heart-stopping incident happened in Boża Wola, Poland, on 26 June, but the footage was only released on Wednesday (5 August).
Polish railway infrastructure operator PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe said: “This time, he had more luck than sense, and escaped with nothing more than a scare.
“A stronger gust of wind from the passing train or contact with one of its protruding parts could easily have ended in tragedy.”
The operator warned that a fast-moving train can take up to one kilometre to come to a stop, as reported by Need To Know.
It added: “There is no room for rushing or taking risks at a level crossing. A red light and lowered barriers mean one thing: STOP.
“These rules apply to everyone – drivers, cyclists, pedestrians and people riding electric scooters.”
