A driver has been branded a “scumbag” after appearing to accelerate through a huge puddle and drenching a pedestrian during torrential rain.
Dashcam footage shows the vehicle travelling along a waterlogged road as heavy rain lashes the area.
A pedestrian can be seen standing at a bus stop as the traffic passes, as reported by Need To Know.

The car then appears to move towards the side of the road before driving through a large pool of standing water.
A huge wall of water is sent spraying towards the pavement, soaking the area where the pedestrian is standing.
The footage, filmed from another vehicle, captures the shocking moment as the car continues on without stopping.
The person who shared the clip accused the driver of deliberately targeting the pedestrian.
The caption alongside the footage read: “Intentionally driving through a rain puddle to splash water into pedestrians at a bus stop. Do you want this type of behaviour in your society?”
The incident has sparked criticism online, with the driver branded a “scumbag” over the alleged stunt.
The clip also shows just how treacherous conditions were, with heavy rain creating large pools of standing water across the road and reducing visibility for drivers.
The footage has since prompted debate over whether the driver deliberately targeted the pedestrian or simply failed to avoid the puddle.
The video, filmed in Brimbank, Australia, was viewed over 313,000 times, with 1,800 likes.
