The horrifying attack happened in Soacha, Colombia, on Sunday, (12 July).
Shocking footage was captured on CCTV.
It showed her attacker stabbing her multiple times despite the efforts of others to stop him.
Mayor of Soacha, Julián Sánchez, said the traumatic incident happened around 3.15pm, as reported by Need To Know.

He said: “The victim, Rosa Mayerly Coronado, was at work and was attacked with a sharp weapon resulting in multiple wounds in different parts of her body.
“She was transferred to the hospital of Soacha, where unfortunately she died due to the severity of her injuries.”
Authorities identified the suspect as Óscar Giovanny Marulanda, who was detained following what officials described as the rapid response of the Metropolitan Police of Soacha.
Rosa Mayerly’s sister, Maira Yulieth Caballero, later said on social media that reports identifying the suspect as the victim’s ex-partner were incorrect.
She said the accused was instead a colleague who allegedly had psychiatric problems and had become obsessed with her sister.
Caballero urged people to correct the information out of respect for Rosa Mayerly’s memory and called for the investigation to be carried out thoroughly.
Following the killing, Soacha City Hall said it would provide support to Rosa Mayerly’s family through the Ministry of Social Development.
Mayor Sánchez also said the municipality would not tolerate violence against women and called for the person responsible to face the full weight of the law while investigators continue to establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged murder.
