A man “kidnapped his former partner and locked her in a car boot” before allegedly throwing her from a motorway bridge.
Lorena Isceri, 45, called emergency services from inside the boot as the vehicle raced along the motorway, shouting: “Help, help.”
She told operators she had been kidnapped and tried to share her location.

She also managed to call a friend before being found out.
The alleged attack began at lunchtime at her home in Florence, Italy, yesterday (3 Sep).
The suspect, named as Federico Vella, 36, was waiting in the garage.
Police said he beat her, tied her and forced her into the boot of her own Audi Q3.
He then drove north on the A1 towards Bologna.
A rucksack with a phone had been left in the boot.
Isceri found it and made the two calls at about 2 pm.
The Florence control room traced the signal as it moved along the motorway.
Traffic police were sent to the scene to intercept the car.
Vella pulled onto the hard shoulder of the Lora viaduct near Barberino del Mugello at about 2:40 pm.
He snatched the phone from her and allegedly threw her from the bridge.
Officers arriving at the scene saw him standing on the edge.
He reportedly jumped from the bridge as they closed in.
Both bodies were found on the ground below.
Isceri had ended the relationship on 13 August, as reported by Need To Know.
The day before, Vella posted old photos of them together online.
He wrote: “Some fits are so perfect that, even if you pull them apart, the shape of the other stays on you forever.
“To you, the woman I loved with all of myself and lost through my own stupidity.
“I will be yours even if I can no longer be.”
On Thursday, he posted: “Goodbye to everyone.”
Another story said: “Silence after a row is not punishment. It is not abandonment. It is not indifference.”
Isceri came from Squinzano, near Lecce.
She worked in marketing for a veterinary firm and was described as bright and devoted to her job.
Vella worked for a car-hire company.
Squinzano mayor Mario Pede said: “We have only just heard, and we are all stunned.
“Lorena’s family are hard-working, good people. Just like her.”
Florence mobile squad chief Domenico Balsamo is leading the inquiry.
Prosecutor Antonio Natale is coordinating the case.
The seized car remains with police as the investigation continues.
