Two men have been charged with robbery following a bungled raid on a jewellers which allegedly saw them trapped inside by a security smoke system.
Dramatic footage shows thick smoke pouring from the shop as the incident unfolds in broad daylight.
The security system was reportedly activated during the raid, filling the premises with smoke and leaving the alleged robbers unable to make their escape.

Police raced to the scene and two men were arrested, as reported by Need To Know.
Mohammed Balmakhear, 27, and Denzel Deneus, 34, have since both been charged with robbery.
The alleged raid happened at Royal Jewellers on Manchester Road, Bradford, on Thursday (10 Sep).
Jewellery industry crime prevention group SaferGems said the security system had left the suspects trapped inside until officers arrived.
It said: “A smoke security system was activated, leaving the suspects trapped inside until police arrived and arrested both men.”
Footage from the scene shows the shop engulfed in smoke as people gather outside.
West Yorkshire Police later confirmed that two men had been charged in connection with an “attack on a business premises” in the city.
Balmakhear and Deneus, both of no fixed abode, were charged with robbery.
The pair were remanded in custody to appear before Bradford Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (12 Sep).
Police enquiries continue.
