The alleged murder took place in the city of Cascavel in north-eastern Brazil on Wednesday night (28 Oct).
The two suspects reportedly forced their way into the apartment on the first floor before shooting Mateus in the arms and chest.
They then fled on a motorcycle and still remain at large, as reported by Need To Know.

Mateus was known in Cascavel and neighbouring towns for promoting events through his social media accounts.
He had continued posting online shortly before his death, sharing a video filmed in a clothing shop changing room just hours before the attack.
In another post, he showed followers the dinner he was preparing to eat.
The video featured two plates being laid out, prompting questions about whether someone else was expected to join him.
He said: “Look how the beans turned out.”

Officers were called to the scene and found Mateus already dead, with forensic teams later examining the property.
They found no one else at the flat.
The Ceará Civil Police confirmed that they were investigating the killing, with the case being handled by officers from the Cascavel police station.
No motive has been officially confirmed and the identities of the gunmen have not been released.
There is currently no indication that Mateus’s online content was connected to the attack.
