The former Miss Thailand has been arrested following her involvement in a charity donation scandal.
Boom Panadda Wongphudee is facing a number of charges relating to allegations of misuse of donations intended for her charity.
The 50-year-old actress, TV presenter and founder of the Do Good Organisation Foundation was put in cuffs by police.
Wongphudee, who was crowned Miss Thailand 2000, was arrested today (6 Nov), as reported by Need To Know.
She now faces three charges of public fraud, money laundering and offences under Thailand’s Computer Crime Act.

The ex-beauty queen was arrested near a residential estate on Nawamin Road, Bangkok.
At the time, Wongphudee, alongside her lawyer Ekkasi Srisang, also known as Lawyer Phet, was preparing to speak to reporters.
They had gathered outside the estate to ask questions about the alleged warrant before she was arrested.
The investigation centres around allegations made that the money donated to her Do Good Organisation Foundation was used for non-charitable activities.

The authorities are now examining her financial transactions and assets whilst also monitoring people close to her.
She allegedly told local reporters: “I’m willing to enter the legal process.
“I’m sorry, everyone. I’m sorry, everyone.”
Police have searched four locations linked to the case.

These places include her residence in Bangkok, a property belonging to her husband, Atip Anantawan, the charity’s premises, and another Bangkok building.
Reports state that investigators had examined around 17 bank accounts and assets valued at more than £2.2m.
The authorities have not confirmed whether or not all the assets were purchased using charitable donations.
The former Miss Thailand has spent almost two decades building a reputation for humanitarian work.
