A body modification fan who has a split tongue and whiskers in her face says people call her “evil” – but she loves her unusual look.
Brejahnia Howell, 28, has been undergoing body modifications since she was just 18 years old when she pierced her belly button.
Since then, the procedures have taken an extreme turn, with the content creator spending over £2,000 ($3,000 USD) on tattoos, piercings, and cutting her tongue in half.
She shares her unusual appearance on TikTok, (@brejhania ), with a recent video racking up over 14,900 views – but it’s also seen trolls come out of the woodworks.
“I always admired piercings and wanted to start adding to my body as soon as I could,” Brejahnia told http://NeedToKnow.co.uk .
“I now have tattoos all over my body and face.
“My favourite body mod currently is my tongue split.
“I feel invigorated with it.
“My friends think my mods are cool and have inspired some of them to get their own.
“[But] I recently showed my family my tongue split and they were shocked.
“Mostly my body mods have been received more positively than negatively.
“I did get few ‘bible thumper’s in my post of my tongue split… […] they took my video as if I mocked god.”
Brejahnia, from Georgia, United States, added that some people compare her split tongue to a “serpent”, which they “presume to be evil”.
But she pays the haters no mind.
In her viral TikTok, the content creator can be seen in her car, showing her tongue before the split.
She then heads into her appointment, before going back to the driver’s seat and showing off her results – with the organ sown up and slightly bleeding.
In the next clip, filmed 11 days later, Brejahnia reveals the healed look, as well as her whiskers and bright green eyes.
She said: “I’m still learning how to speak with it and say certain phonics because I have a little lisp.
“Obviously that’ll go away in a couple months or so, but I’m in love with it and the sutures have been taken out.”
She added: “I will be planning to get more tattoos and piercings, I would like to be fully covered in them.”
Brejahnia’s followers have been quick to share their thoughts.
