Rob Beckett, Romesh Ranganathan and Josh Widdicombe say they have all become victims of an Artificial Intelligence publisher.

The trio of comedians were left shocked after seeing the suspected AI generated doppelgangers featured on the front of fake biographies.

Rob Beckett’s fake book titled ‘Rob Beckett: A Journey from Stand-Up to Stardom’ is even selling on WHSmith’s website.

The book is listed by the author ‘Pick Press’ and is selling for £8.99.

The trio of books originally appeared on Amazon before they were taken down after the comedians spotted them.

Romesh’s book was titled ‘Romesh Ranganathan Biography: A Comedian’s Journey through Success, Struggle, and Social Advocacy’.

Josh Widdicombe’s book was simply titled ‘Josh Widdicombe: The Biography’.

Before the books were taken down from Amazon, Josh Widdicombe, 41, said he ordered the three pieces to see what they were about.

When the Amazon packages arrived the comedian was left shocked at the images on the covers.

‘Kindle Direct Publishing’ is a service on the Amazon website which can allow users to self-publish their own books.

The users then have control over the cover of the book, the content, the price and advertisement.

The books can be published in more than ten countries and 45 languages, as reported by Need To Know.

Left confused by who was behind the biographies Rob, 38, joked that it could be one of Joe Lycett’s pranks.

Rob Beckett questioned: “What the f*ck is this on Amazon?

“Joe Lycett prank? Or has AI started taking over.”

Romesh Ranganathan said: “Josh and Rob have shared theirs so here is my weird Amazon biography I have nothing to do with.

“I definitely win for worst photo.”

Members of the public were left in stitches by the biographies.

Easton Michelle said: “The font is like a kids book.”

Becky stated: “Look at how huge the font is.”

Hayley Dedman said: “It looks so professional.”

Lauren Smith said: “I am so confused.”
