A man died and another was arrested after two suspected prominent Inter Milan ultras allegedly tried to kill each other.
Andrea Beretta was arrested yesterday (4 Sept) evening as he lay in hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.
That morning, Beretta, 49, and Antonio Bellocco had left a gym frequented by Inter Milan ultras.

Witnesses later told how the pair had been “smiling” at the time.
The two had climbed into Bellocco’s car, where Bellocco, 36, allegedly shot Beretta, wounding him.
In response, Beretta is accused of stabbing Bellocco twice in the throat, killing him.
Beretta is described in local reports as an Inter Milan ultras “leader”.
Bellocco was also reportedly a prominent figure among the “Curva Nord” ultras and heir to one of the most powerful ’Ndrangheta families.
The ’Ndrangheta, from Calabria, are one of Italy’s “big three” mafias, along with the Camorra, from Campania, and Cosa Nostra, from Sicily.
The horror unfolded in Cernusco sul Naviglio, near Milan and Beretta is in hospital in nearby Segrate, as reported by Need To Know.
The previous evening (3 Sept), the two men had played football in a “derby” between Inter and AC Milan fans.
Beretta’s lawyer Mirko Perlino told local media: “Right now, he’s undergoing surgery to remove the bullet.
“And has also sustained a pelvic fracture.
“He’s not in life-threatening condition.”
Detectives believe the motive may have been a power struggle – possibly related to parking spaces, sports betting, or drug trafficking – among the Inter ultras.
