A ‘coked-up’ trucker killed a motorbike rider and hit nine vehicles after hurtling the wrong way down a motorway.

CCTV footage showed cars moving out of the way at the last second as the truck zoomed the wrong way down the major highway.

Some drivers had to veer into the opposite lane, while others had to swerve off the road in a bid to save themselves.

The video shows a biker and their motorcycle toppling sideways after they were forced onto the grassy verge.

A bike-mounted cop could be seen signalling wildly with his arm to warn drivers to get out of the way as the lorry bolted down the tarmac.

Tragically, the trucker ended up fatally hitting a motorcyclist, as well as injuring two women on Sunday (22 September).

He hit nine vehicles in total as he sped dangerously down the Rio-Santos highway near São Paulo, Brazil.

He first hit two cars, whose drivers were uninjured. The police sped to the scene and signalled for him to stop but were ignored.

He then struck the front of a police car, causing it to spin on the tarmac. Luckily, the officers inside were unharmed.

The lorry, which was carrying glycerine, continued in the wrong direction before colliding with a motorcycle carrying two people.

The 33-year-old rider, Rafael da Silva Oliveira, died at the scene.

His girlfriend and pillion passenger, Carolina Rebouças de Sousa, 32, was taken to hospital with polytrauma and underwent surgery on Sunday night.

After hitting the bike, the trucker continued driving in the opposite lane for about 1.2 miles (2km).

He eventually hit five more cars head-on, as reported by Need To Know.

One driver was removed from the wreckage and taken to A&E in Guarujá with neck pain.

The trucker, Roberval José Sebastião, eventually lost control and veered into an area of woodland next to the motorway.

When police officers tried to get him out, he allegedly attacked them with a piece of wood.

They managed to disarm and handcuff him, and he was later remanded in custody in Santos.

Tests found the 36-year-old was intoxicated and he reportedly confessed to using cocaine.

It emerged he had been arrested in October 2023 for driving under the influence of drugs.

His licence was suspended at the time, but the suspension was revoked in August this year.

He remains in custody.
