An actor had been accused of stabbing his estranged wife 28 times in a frenzied attack before turning the knife on himself.
The victim, known as Débora, was behind the counter at a pizzeria where she worked when 41-year-old, Sergio Sarria, entered the kitchen and lunged at her with a weapon.
The 45-year-old miraculously managed to survive the attack after fleeing the restaurant just as police arrived.

CCTV of the terrifying incident shows Débora’s current partner and a colleague attempting to stop the actor from hurting her further.
The suspect then puts the knife to his own throat and appears to stab himself several times.
He sits motionless on the floor as the clip comes to an end.
The shocking scenes were filmed at the Big Pizza pizzeria in the neighbourhood of Núñez in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, on 18 November.
Débora, who was in a relationship with the suspect for 23 years, said: “He wanted to kill me like an animal.
“He broke in, attacked my partner, and then attacked me.
“He attacked me with a knife, a knife he brought, and then with a knife I use at the pizzeria.
“It’s a butcher’s knife, thank God it wasn’t very sharp.
“When he attacked me, he didn’t say anything at all.
“All the stab wounds I have are in my ribs, neck, face, and in one eye.
“It was terrible, terrifying.”
She added: “I have a big cut on my elbow because he cut me with that knife.
“Miraculously, he didn’t manage to kill me, I think in large part because of the help I got because they tried to hit him, to get him off me, but he was furious.”
She claims that their relationship was frequently violent.
The victim stated: “I always assumed that if I reported him, I would harm him somehow.
“I never thought about myself.
“There was always violence, quite a lot.”
She was reportedly stabbed 28 times before the suspect turned the knife on himself.
The ex-couple have an adult daughter together.
He allegedly shouted: “My daughter doesn’t love me, I’m going to kill myself” when the cops showed up at the scene.
On Instagram, Sergio describes himself as an actor, Instagram influencer, and stand-up comedian.
He has a separate Instagram account dedicated to “acting in front of the camera”.
He featured in the films, ‘Hombres de Piel Dura’ and ‘La Venganza de Ambar’.
Débora has since been discharged from the hospital and is recovering from her ordeal at home.
Sergio is under arrest in the hospital after his alleged suicide attempt, as reported by Need To Know.
The investigation is ongoing.
