An international footballer who played with Liverpool’s Luis Diaz has been involved in a horror car crash.
Willer Ditta – capped twice by Colombia – was driving a white BMW when it was in collision with a red vehicle which was carrying a family.
The cause of the smash is under investigation.

The 28-year-old defender who plays for Cruz Azul in Mexico played with fellow Colombian Diaz for the national team last year.

Other players from his homeland in the Premier League include Luis Sinisterra from Bournemouth and Wolves’ Yerson Mosquera.
Crystal Palace duo Daniel Muñoz and Jefferson Lerma also play for Colombia.
Ditta was not injured in the collision, as reported by Need To Know.

The crash happened on Periférico Sur, in Mexico City Mexico.
He attended football training yesterday (21 Apr).
It occurred a few days before the start of the Liguilla of the Clausura 2025 and the first leg of the semifinals of the Concacaf Champions Cup.


Tomorrow (23 Apr), Cruz Azul will play Tigres, corresponding to the first leg of the semifinals of the Concacaf Champions Cup.
His club plans on meeting with Ditta to discuss the circumstances which surrounded the car accident, and to offer support.
The club has not yet issued an official statement.
