A 30-year-old woman has vanished after reportedly telling a friend she feared for her life.
Denisa Maria Adas left a rental room on Friday (16 May) before her trail went cold.
The last trace of her was a phone call she made to her mother between 11pm and 11:30pm that night.

Her mother says she “seemed calm” on the call, as reported by Need To Know.
But since then, her two mobile phones have been switched off – something her family says she would never normally do.

Local media say that a few days before her disappearance, she confided in a friend and said: “I’m afraid I’m going to be killed.”
But it is not clear why she feared for her safety.
Denisa is originally from Romania but lives in Rome, Italy.
She often travelled around Italy and abroad, and she was staying in Prato, north-west of Florence, when she vanished.
The Prato Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation into her possible abduction.

Denisa was renting a room at a property where she had stayed several times in recent months.
Detectives found two pairs of her shoes and her make-up in the room.
But most of her clothes, at least two suitcases, a blanket, and her handbag were missing.
The keys had been left inside the door, suggesting she had left in a hurry.
Her car was still parked at the property, suggesting she had either got into another vehicle or left on foot.

The police found that the CCTV cameras at the property are only for deterrence and do not actually work.
It was Denisa’s mother who went to the police in Rome to report her disappearance.
Denisa is believed to have driven from Rome to Prato on Friday and her room was booked until Monday (19 May).
She is known to have met a man at around 8:45pm on Friday, but he reportedly provided a solid alibi when questioned.

The police have reviewed street CCTV footage, interviewed the property manager, and spoken with Denisa’s friends.
The search continues.
