Arthur was taken to an emergency vet after being discovered.

The puss was found in Worcester two months ago,

The couple, who have another cat named Lucy, said he now had a large window and a space including his own sofa bed at his new home, which he moved into on 21 June.

Tracy said: “We both commented despite him being through so much, he had still maintained his lovely little personality.

“And how some cats just come through horrible experiences and still manage somehow to trust humans.

“We continued to follow Arthur’s story and we were delighted to see his progress and how well he was healing.

“We lost our boy Jasper back in March and were absolutely devastated.

“Though we know he had a wonderful life with us – as he was 15 – he had had significant neurological issues since the age of four and came to us as a street boy when he was about six to nine months old.

“So in all honesty, we didn’t know if we were ready to adopt again so soon.

“But Arthur really called out to us and we felt if we didn’t enquire and at least meet him, we would regret it.

“We just knew upon meeting Arthur, he’s confident, very sweet, and has a little bit of cat-titude.

“We knew he would do fine.”

Claire Wood, from Worcester RSPCA, looked after him since he was found on 24 Apriil.

She added: “Arthur came to us in such a sorry state.

“But we knew from day one he was a fighter and it has been amazing to see him improve each week.

“When he was ready for rehoming, we knew it wouldn’t be long before a perfect owner would be found and we weren’t wrong.”
