A pizza entrepreneur was killed in a skydiving accident hours after posting about “valuing life.”
Gabriel Farrel’s parachute reportedly failed to open as expected after he jumped from an aircraft yesterday (14 Sept).
His final Instagram post, made the day before, showed him running with his dog at sunrise.

Filmed on São Conrado Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, it was captioned: “Valuing life is daily.
“It’s free, it’s unmissable.”
Farrel, 31, was taken to a hospital after his jump over Rio’s Reserva Beach, but he succumbed to his injuries.
A trained engineer, he left the profession to follow his passion for cooking, founding the Borda & Lenha pizzeria chain.
The business began as a mobile pizzeria for events but later expanded into delivery, eventually growing to over 70 franchises across Brazil, as reported by Need To Know.
He gained wider recognition in 2021 after appearing on the reality show Shark Tank Brasil, where he secured investment to scale his business further.

Farrel had 65,000 followers on Instagram and more than 60,000 on TikTok, where he shared thoughts on entrepreneurship, as well as videos of himself practising extreme sports like powered paragliding and BASE jumping.
Tributes poured in online. Júlia Carolina wrote: “You were one of the most upbeat, joyful people I’ve ever met.”

Paula added, “You brought pure light wherever you went.”
