ICE and protesters horrifically clashed during a raid, with activists claiming officers were “shooting”, “tear gassing” and “almost running over protesters”.

The shocking footage shows a white vehicle, believed to be operated by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, heading towards floored protesters.

The terrifying scenes took place during a raid for Deyvi Daniel Corona-Sanchez, which sparked the confrontation.

The man in question was the subject of an administrative immigration warrant, passed by a judge after protesters gathered to stop the raid.

The incident took place in South Burlington, Vermont, in New England, USA, on 11 Mar, as reported by Need To Know.

Corona-Sanchez had been removed from the USA in 2022 before reportedly illegally re-entering the country, according to an ICE affidavit.

ICE agents attempted to arrest a man who they believed to be their suspect but he fled in a car before entering a house on Dorset Street.

Activist group Migrant Justice received a tip about the pursuit – with hundreds descending on the home, blocking the doors and chanting at an ever-growing number of federal officers.

After being granted a warrant, police helped remove protesters from the door before it was knocked down – three people were removed but none of them were Corona-Sanchez.

As law enforcement and ICE agents attempted to leave the scene, protesters blocked their exit – which sparked a mass confrontation.

The footage taken by a member of activist group The Sidewalk School captured the horrific scenes.

Flashbangs, deterrent spray and shots of what is believed to be less-lethal munitions can be seen being used by ICE.

Witnesses claim hundreds of people were punched, shoved and maced during clashes, as reported by BreakThrough News.

A protester on the ground can also be seen almost being run over by a white vehicle – with activists shouting “you’re driving on people”.

William Breault, South Burlington police chief, has criticized ICE’s tactics at a press conference.

Speaking on Wednesday night, he questioned whether it was “fully necessary” for the search warrant to be executed in that manner or to chase a suspect down the street during rush hour.
